The short version. TotalCoaching is software that helps professional coaches run their coaching practice, with AI assistance. The coach — not TotalCoaching, and not the AI — is the professional in the relationship. AI output is a draft for the coach's judgment, not medical, health, or nutrition advice. If something on this page and this summary disagree, the full terms below win.
TotalCoaching ("we", "us") operates the software at totalcoaching.ai from Quebec, Canada. By creating a coach account, or by using the app a coach invites you into as a client, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
TotalCoaching is a tool for professional coaches: an AI copilot that drafts training programs and messages for the coach's review, a client app with an AI assistant that answers in the coach's tone from the coach-approved plan, workout guidance, and logging of training, nutrition, and other data the coach and client choose to record.
The AI drafts; the coach decides. Programs, plan changes, and anything amounting to new advice require the coach's explicit approval before reaching a client. AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong; the coach is responsible for reviewing it before relying on it or approving it.
The coaching relationship belongs to the coach and their client, not to us. Coaches are responsible for:
TotalCoaching is not a party to the coach–client engagement and does not supervise, endorse, or verify any coach.
Nothing in the service — from the AI assistant, the copilot, or any content — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Physical training carries inherent risk; clients participate at their own risk and under their coach's guidance. The AI assistant is designed to stop and escalate to the coach when a client reports pain or anything medical, but it is software, not a clinician, and escalation depends on the coach seeing it. In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) — never wait for an app.
Clients access the service through a personal link from their coach and use it as part of their engagement with that coach. The assistant a client talks to is always labelled as an AI assistant; it writes in the coach's tone but never claims to be the coach. A client's access continues at their coach's discretion (and their coach's subscription); if it ends, the client can ask their coach — or us — for a copy of their data.
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to create a coach account.
Coaches can collect payment from their clients through the service via Stripe. The coach — not TotalCoaching — is the merchant for those payments: they run on the coach's own Stripe account (the Stripe Connected Account Agreement applies), and refunds, disputes, receipts, and taxes on coaching fees belong to the coach. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers. TotalCoaching charges a platform fee of 1.5% + $0.25 CAD per payment, deducted automatically, on top of Stripe's own processing fees; fee changes get at least 30 days' notice.
Don't use the service to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to send spam, to probe or disrupt our systems, to resell access, or to build a competing dataset by scraping. Don't upload content you have no right to share. We may suspend accounts that put other users, clients, or the service at risk.
Coaches own their business data; clients own their personal records. You give us the license we need to operate the service — store, process, display, and transmit your content to run the features you use, including sending it to the AI providers that power the assistants. We do not use coach or client data to train AI models, and client pages are unlisted and excluded from search engines. The Privacy Policy explains handling and deletion; ask and we delete.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows — including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI features depend on third-party providers and may be degraded or unavailable at times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data; and our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the amounts you paid us in that period (or $100 CAD if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including, for Quebec consumers, rights under the Consumer Protection Act, and nothing here excludes liability for our own gross negligence or intentional fault.
Coaches agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from their coaching services, their advice (including AI drafts they approved), or their breach of these terms — to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You can close your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination we'll make your data available for export for 30 days, then delete it in the normal course, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the console or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes go to the courts of Quebec, sitting in Montreal — except where you are a consumer entitled by law to a different venue. These terms are available in French at totalcoaching.ai/fr/terms (Conditions d'utilisation); for users entitled to it by law, the French version prevails.
